Crocker Mountains and Erebus wrecked whilst searching for NW Passage.
This mat was designed in consultation with staff at the Scott Polar Research Institute, and reflects their particular scientific, cultural, geographical and historical interests in the Arctic region. The Museum has various models to move around and place in the many pockets for users to discover. Staff and volunteers contributed to the mat by adding stitches during an evening 'sew-in'.
