Touch and Feel Protein Molecule

This 3m long embroidery was part of the 'Affinity' exhibiiton by Fibrefusion. It was made using forming felt and is highly textured. It is intended to be handled and felt. It represents a tiny protein molecule made from 50 amino acid residues, each with their side groups. It was an early piece based on protein structure and has made quite a few people laugh as I've slowly pulled it out of a box.
